A Single Image

Uploading and inserting an image in your post or page in WordPress is a snap. No, really.

Let’s just put in a single image and align it left.

Put your cursor in your post or page, click the Add Media button above the rows of icons, upload or choose your image from the Media Library, choose an alignment (left, right, etc.), choose a size (thumbnail, medium, full, etc.) and you’re done. We’ll get into more details about what else you can do with this image in later lessons.

Tips & Tricks

• Optimize first: Best practice says you should really resize, optimize and/or crop your photos before you upload them into WordPress. See Cropping, resizing, and optimizing images without Photoshop.
