You’d like to have a mosaic of the images you choose, titles, captions, and links you want to customize. Yeah, we can do that.
Justified Image Grid is a great plugin, but what if I want just the images I want to choose and not all of this automated stuff? It takes some digging, but it’s possible.
Notes on what goes where:
- Check media ID in URL.
- Title of image is title of image.
- Use presets (I’m using #19).
- Use description for hover over action.
- JIG URL for custom link to follow.
Want certain images, titles, descriptions and links? OK.
Try the JIG auto excerpt that can cut the length of your post content text to a certain amount of words. Or manual excerpt where JIG will pull the text you manually enter for a post’s excerpt field (separate from the post content). Might have to enable that from the top right corner “Screen Options” of a post edit page.
